YELLO
Proto-techno superforce years ahead of their time. Mostly known for their song "Oh Yeah" (a.k.a. the song in that Twix commerical and at the end of "Ferris Bueller"), they pulled off the same sort of beat-laden wackiness Deee-lite, Ween, Self, and others were some years later; except with more sophisticated MIDIs. And while the group does sound a bit 80's-- as they were-- their music is good enough to egress them from the 80's novelty status that would put them in the ranks the groups that are used in retro danceclub nights and radio hours. If you're too young to have seen "Star Wars" during its original release, you're too young to remember these guys-- Check 'em out!
