Pornography-- oft confused with, or marketed as, erotica-- is an unmistakably four-letter concept in today's society, though one quick look at the general offerings and there's no denying why such a repulsive stigma has outgrown the mere dictionary definition of the word: Magazine racks brimming with cheaply produced crotch-centric kitsch. A product which is made solely to get off on most surely defies the logic of anyone whose imaginationyearns for sweeter findings; so for those seeking more than staunch images of sexual body fluids or a pageful of hyperanatomical endowment, Cathexis is a project seeking to explore of the realms of pure sensuality in two unified parameters which too many in the genre of the erotic have never grasped: ART and TASTE. This is a sensualistic photography journal-- an homage to the human form-- by far classier than any "skin mag" on the stands, yet still just fleshy enough to appease the voyeuristic part the mind while sophisticated enough to gratify the artistic part.

The first multimedia project of Zone B, the debut issue of Cathexis is tentatively scheduled for release in early 2000, and will henceforth be triannually published.
 


 
*** Attention ***

We are currently searching for seven models to fulfull the needs of our debut issue's shoots. And to answer question probably on the forefront of your mind: No, you don't have to pose naked. If you want to, cool, but there are many different kinds of shoots promised and you will only be hired for what you are comfortable in working with; We will never try and pressure you into something you're hesitant about doing. So, if we decide we really like you, we'll make sure there's a shoot you want to work in; even if it means designing one up just for you!

Candidates residing in the Bay Area will be given preferential treatment as Zone B is based-- and will be shooting mostly-- in this region; However, "away" shoots will be cast with persons near the pending shoot location(s): Santa Barbara is currently a slated "away" shoot location.
